Hi, my name’s Alan and I’m a lead worker.

How did I start making tools? 

​

Over the years I have made a few hand tools to make lead work a little easier and uniform for both the apprentices and myself. To be honest I didn’t think much of it. I often participate on social media in lead work and roofing groups, I posted a video of my corner tool in action and instantly received great comments and requests for me to make them for others!

I now make the same tools improved and refined for others to order. Sending them all over the UK and occasionally abroad! 

​

I still work full-time as a heritage lead worker often working on historic or iconic buildings, whilst passing my experience and skills on to the next generation of lead workers. This is something I immensely enjoy so when I received endorsement from the LSTA (Lead Sheet Training Academy) for my tools I was overjoyed.
